Christmas is over :(

So Christmas is officially over in our house. Today is 28th Dec and the tree has departed. Presents are put away and life has returned to normality, well as best as it can lol.
I remember when I was younger and I would draga it out for days. Keep taking all my presents out of the big gift bag, then putting them back in. Now I'm a mum and have my own house I can't be doing with it all, and just want everything out of sight as quickly as possible. Could it be that as we get older we become boring? Maybe, or perhaps I am just maturing in my old age?
Either way, I'm a real scrooge and I'm glad it's done with. Just need to start preparing myself for next year :/

Playing catch up

So I haven't blogged in a while, and thought it was time for an update. I have now started my own YouTube channel called Beautybox, and I am loving it! It is something I really enjoy, and I can incorporate my avon into it, which is cool. I know my OH doesn't see the point in what I do, but he doesn't stop me so I'm happy :)

I may also be changing my job by becoming a cash admin. I enjoy the role, and it can open up a lot more avenues for me in the future, such as working in a bank etc. The path that lead to it was fairly rocky, but it appears to have settled now, which is good. Let's hope it stays that way!

too many options

I am one of these women who wants to be able to do everything! I get an idea into my head, and want to do it there and then. My thing is crafts. I wanted to make my own clothes, I have tried card making, hair accessories, candles, soaps etc etc. Trouble is, I either get bored, can't afford the start up costs for material etc or don't have time.

I envy these stay at home mums who look after the kids, do all the housework, make a full blown dinner and STILL have time to make new clothes for the kids, or run up a new pair of curtains. That will never be me. But I don't want to be like that. I just want an hour a day to myself to work on my passions. But in this day and age, who honestly has a spare hour to themselves?

I have a banging headache, a child that won't go to bed and a husband who is on earlies so he says he can't help. Anyone wanna with lives? Like a real life wife swap. Any takers? No?

Phone 'fun'

So I now have the fun task of sorting out the crap on my phone. I have officially almost run out of memory, so my nice shiny new phone is running at the pace of an 85 year old (and I don't mean one of the freaky fit ones!)

I have got to sit and go through my music and pics for what may seem like days, just to get enought space for my phone to then say, you need an update, that will take up all my nice space I just created. Story of my life really, I make the space for someone else to junk up!

If it was someone else's phone, I would LOVE to do this mundane task, because other people's crap always seems a lot more interesting, even if it is almost identical to my own!

And while we are on the subject of technology, I think my pc mouse has an ACTUAL mouse living inside it! You can be sat watching a film, when it will randomly spring into life and make the movie player go mental. It will then continue to do this until I unplug it. If you watch the cursor on the screen, you can see it moving! So I either have a mouse or a ghost, and to be honest I am happy to catch a mouse and set it free outside. I am not however gonna get my Dan Aykroyd on and hunt a ghost!

eBay

I really want some spending money for my upcoming holiday to the beach, but I get paid the day I get home, typical! So I am selling my possessions on eBay (and not for the first time I might add). Just hope some lovely people would like to buy my random crap now!

Blood Brothers

I went to see Blood Brothers tonight and it was fantastic. It really felt like I was in the West End, not Peterborough. Nikki Evans was excellent as Mrs Johnstone, and the rest of the cat were just as good.

Tonight was opening night, and they got a standing ovation. Looks like it wasn't just me who liked it then!
